On 18th August, Tarun and Greg led Sunil and his family out on a challenging Charity Hike, in the Peak District National Park, raiding funds and awareness for Breast Cancer Now, the research and care charity.
The route used that of the old 1932 Mass Trespass route. Starting at the Bowden Bridge Car Park, heading up William Clough, joining the Pennine Way, heading past Kinder Downfall (which was nearly bone dry due to recent hot weather), onto the Kinder Plateau, bagging the Kinder Low trig point, then down off the hills back to the Bowden Bridge Car Park.
All in, it was a tough challenging day, but not without its perks, as we received a lot of positive engagement with all sorts of other hikers out on the trails. Many of whom, pledging financial support to the charity, all thanks to Sunil’s family, working hard, while wearing brilliant bright pink tops.
