Wild Camping in Norway

12 January 20230

The start of September saw Greg go with frequent OTM hiker Alex, to Norway for some quality international mountaineering. Spending 5 day out in the magnificent Norwegian mountains was a truly incredible experience. Wild Camping and hiking around the Ullensvang Municipality, near Odda exposed Greg and Alex to some spectacular terrain, tough climbs and long days, but presented an opportunity to explore a region less familiar to them.

From stepping foot in Norway, having managed to obtain a paper map and gas for the camping stove from a tourist information centre in Bergen, they were good to go and get into the hills, having deployed with enough food to sustain themselves for the duration. Being able to survive for several days totally self sufficient was an exciting opportunity for them to truly test their skills out in the mountain environment. It also presented a golden opportunity to test out the MSR Hubba Hubba NX2 Tent (pictured above), which for now, has proven to be a brilliant piece of kit.
